Man dies in Dundee crash

A man has died after a crash in Dundee.
Police were called to the crash, which involved a silver Hyundai IX35, on Johnston Avenue in the city at about 8.10am on Friday.
The driver of the car, a man aged 69, was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The passenger, a 63-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital.
The road was closed for investigation and reopened at 12.15pm.
Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and they have asked for privacy at what is a very difficult time for them.
“Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened and has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“If you were driving in the area at the time please also check any dash-cam footage and contact us if something that could assist with our investigation has been captured.”
