Police have said concern is growing as searches continue for a man who took a taxi from Glasgow to a forested area of Dumfries and Glasgow.

Piotr Klusek, 44, travelled to Glentrool by taxi from Glasgow Central station on Wednesday September 2.

He was last seen in Glentrool at around 5.30pm that day.

Police have been carrying out searches in the forest and urged anyone with information to contact them.

Mr Klusek is described as being of medium build, has a beard and was wearing a black checked jacket with a zip and carrying a small cross-body bag when last seen.

Chief Inspector Stuart Dougan said: “Piotr has not been seen for several days now and our concern is growing

“Our inquiries have revealed the Piotr travelled to Glentrool by taxi service from Glasgow train station on Wednesday.

“It’s crucial that we find him and we are carrying out searches in the areas of Glentrool Forest.

“Think back, were you in the area over the last few days and noticed anyone matching his description, we’re looking for anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it might seem, please come forward.

“The area is busy with local people and dog walkers.”
