Man charged following discovery of explosive device in Silverbridge

A man has been charged following the discovery of an explosive device during a security alert in Co Armagh.
The device was recovered by police during a search of a house in Silverbridge on Saturday.
The 22-year-old has been charged with possessing explosives in suspicious circumstances and a number of drug-related offences.
These offences include possession of a Class A controlled drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply, as well as possession of a Class B controlled drug, and possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.
He is expected to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
