Drugs worth an estimated one million euro seized following searches

Various drugs worth an estimated one million euro have been seized following searches in Co Limerick.
GardaĆ said they searched two premises in Pallasgreen on Wednesday as part of operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the region.
During the searches, GardaĆ seized diamorphine estimated to be worth more than 659,000 euro, suspected cannabis with an estimated value of more than 114,000 euro, alprazolam tablets estimated to be worth 47,000 euro, more than 7,000 euro of suspected cocaine and 12kg of suspected benzocaine.
More than 117,000 euro in cash was also seized, along with a vehicle and other items.
A man in his 20s was arrested and is being detained at a Garda station in Limerick under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
All seized drugs are to be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis and all items seized are to be subject to further technical examination.
