A man in his 60s has been killed in a road collision in Co Roscommon.

The incident at Carrigans Park, Donamon, is believed to have occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The man, who was the driver of the single vehicle involved in the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions put in place.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses from people who were travelling in the area of Carrigans Park between 5am and 9am on Sunday.
