Police have carried out searches as part of their investigation into the murder of Wayne Reid.
Detectives have also made a new appeal for information and said people would continue to see an increased police presence in Coleraine.
Mr Reid, who formerly lived in Scotland, was found dead at a house in Society Court in the Co Londonderry town on January 12.
Officers carried out searches in the Society Street and Society Court areas of Coleraine on Wednesday morning.
Detective Chief Inspector Hazel Miller said: “Over one week ago, on Monday January 12, 43-year-old Wayne Reid was pronounced dead in an address in the Society Court area of Coleraine.
“I believe that Wayne was assaulted at an address in Society Street in the early hours of Saturday January 10 and later died as a result of injuries sustained during this attack.”
She added: “My thoughts remain with Wayne’s family and loved ones at this unimaginably difficult time.
“Members of the local community have also been left shaken by the tragic event.
“Our investigation is ongoing, and local people will see a continued police presence in the area as we carry out inquiries.
“I’m keen to reiterate my appeal for anyone with information to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference 552 of January 10 2026. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the attack, or who may have spoken to Wayne in the period following the attack.”
